BITUTHENE Primer WP-3000 is a water-based latex primer which is specifically formulated to bind dust and concrete efflorescence, thereby providing a suitable surface for BITUTHENE membranes. BITUTHENE Primer WP-3000 promotes good initial adhesion and, more importantly, excellent permanent adhesion of BITUTHENE membranes. TheVOC (Volatile Organic Compound) content is <95 g/L and it meets the U.S. E.P.A. Volatile Organic Compound Emission Standard for Architectural Coatings. Architectural and industrial maintenance regulations limit the VOC content in products classified as architectural coatings. Refer to Technical Letters for the most current list of allowable limits. Use BITUTHENE Primer WP-3000 is used to prime all structural concrete, masonry or wood surfaces on which BITUTHENE membranes will be applied, BITUTHENE Primer WP-3000 is used for vertical and horizontal applications at 40 ºF (5 ºC) or above.
