Schnee 5700 Poly-glaze Tape 1/8" X 3/8" X 25' Black 20/cs
A 100% solids compound that is a blend of polyisobutylene polymer and highly cross-linked butylpolymer. It is supplied as a preformed sealant in rope form. The product can be described as a dense, tacky, rubber-like compound. It may be factory or field applied. No primers are required to obtain adhesion. Clean substrates are required. The tape exhibits excellent weatherability when exposed to ultraviolet and infrared radiation, atmospheric hydrocarbon contamination and extremes in temperature. Will not craze acrylic or polycarbonate plastic surfaces.
It is used for sealing and bedding vision lites and panels found in fenestration details. It can also be used to seal other joint details found in assembly and fabrication operations where a high-solids, non-drying preformed sealant is required.
