Collars
& Wrap Strips
Firestop collars are made
of a galvanized metal collar
that houses a pre-molded
intumescent wrap strip.
Collars are used to firestop
plastic pipes when the
annular space around the
penetration is too small
to hold the necessary layers
of wrap strips.

Composite
Sheets
Composite sheets are made
of a rigid fire resistant
panel consisting of an
intumescent layer bonded
to a galvanized steel sheet
reinforced with steel wire
mesh and covered with aluminum
foil. Composite sheets
are designed to seal medium
to large size opening with
a variety of different
penetrants in both fire-resistance
rated floors and walls.

Duct Wrap
Duct Wrap is a foil-encapsulated,
flexible fireproofing wrap
designed to prevent the
spread of smoke and fire
through fire rated air
and kitchen grease ducts.
It is used as a cost-effective
alternative to drywall
shaft enclosures. Duct
Wrap is the product of
choice when fire rated
duct areas are congested
or installation clearances
are tight.

Firestop
Sealants
Firestop sealants are used
to seal penetrations and
construction joints. Intumescent
sealants expand with heat
and form an ablative char
to prevent the spread of
smoke and fire. Endothermic
sealants absorb heat and
release water vapor to

Joint Sealants
Fireproofing construction
joints can be accomplished
with mineral wool, Ultra
Block or ceramic fiber
backing and a variety of
acrylic, polyurethane and
silicone sealants.

Mineral Wool and Ultra
Block serve as backing
for the installation of
other firestopping products
around blank openings,
penetrations and construction
joints. These backing materials

Mortar
Firestop Mortar is a lightweight,
cement-based product used
to seal large openings
in concrete and masonry
walls and floors. Firestop
Mortar is non-shrink, impact
resistant and provides
a fire resistant and thermal
insulation barrier. Although
mortar is cost-effective
to use, adding or removing
a penetration is labor
intensive.

Pillows
Pillows consist of a fiberglass
bag that contains intumescent
material that expands when
in contact with heat. Pillows
are primarily used to firestop
large openings. Because
pillows can be easily removed,
it is easy to add and remove
penetrations.

Putty
& Putty Pads
Putty & putty pads
consist of a synthetic
elastomer that remains
pliable and flexible.
These products are easy
to mold, retrofit and
require no special tools.
Because putty & putty
pads are non-corrosive,
they are the products
of choice for sensitive
electrical and fiber optic
applications.

Silicone
Foam
Silicone Foam is a two-component
liquid material that expands
up to 4 times its size
within minutes of mixing.
Due to its initial viscosity
and quick cure time, silicone
foam is excellent for
sealing large openings
and cable trays. Because
Silicone Foam forms a
water-resistant, friction
fit seal around penetrations
and blank openings, adding
or removing penetrating
items is a simple process.

Sleeves
A firestop sleeve is a
kit comprised of a metallic
sleeve, mounting plates
and putty for firestopping
cable penetrations. Firestop
sleeves install in minutes
and are available in a
one piece sleeve/plate
design for new cable installations
as well as a split design
for installations around
previously installed cables.

Spray
Fireproofing spray is
a flexible water-based
acrylic coating used to
seal head-of-wall joints,
floor joints, penetration
seals and curtain wall
joints. Because it can
be sprayed with a conventional
airless sprayer, it is
one of the most cost-effective
ways to install acrylic
fireproofing material.
Fireproofing spray can
be painted and provides
up to a 4-hour rating.
